I have been involved in several festivals, worldwide, as curator, artistic director, reviewer, and advisor on the practical aspects of running a festival organization. My last project was as artistic director of the NUKU photo festival Ghana that took place in September 2018.

I work as an independent curator, creating a story based on my own research on a specific theme, or I work in close cooperation with a creative team to create an exhibition from the works of selected photographers.

With more than 10 years experience in exhibition planning, first more than 6 years with World Press Photo, later with festivals such as Photoreporter St. Brieuc, Noorderlicht, FotoGrafia Roma, or LagosPhoto, and museums such as MoCP Chicago, MuseumHilversum, DrentsMuseum or Tropenmuseum Amsterdam I feel comfortable working with photography and photographers in different contexts. See below for a selection of projects I have curated.
