Platform Fotografie Nederland

A project commissioned by Platform Fotografie Nederland (PFN) involved conducting an analysis of the position and role of the members of the Platform relative to each other and within the photographic sector as a whole. The assignment description was developed in consultation with the board of the association PFN.

The objective of this report was to formulate the long-term goals of PFN, as well as to define the position and role of individual members and other institutions within the current photographic landscape. Additionally, the report provides an initial framework for understanding the interrelationships among members within the Platform.

This project underscores my commitment to providing strategic insights and actionable recommendations tailored to the needs of organizations within the photographic sector. I am proud to have contributed to PFN's efforts to define its direction and enhance collaboration among its members. More information on PFN can be found here.

Platform ACCT

My membership of the Branch table Photography resulted in a project I completed for Platform ACCT. This project involved creating a Practice Instrument Fees for photographic services in the cultural sector of the Netherlands. The Practice Instrument outlines essential elements to consider when calculating hourly or daily fees and provides insights into the quoting process. It is based on best practices from various industries and extensive research within the photographic sector.

The Practice Instrument is intended to be accorded by the 'branch table photography,' established by Platform ACCT. This table brings together practitioners, agents, assigners, and others to establish Fair Practice within the cultural sector. My contribution to this project aims to promote ethical and transparent business practices within our industry.

I am proud of the role this project plays in fostering a more equitable and sustainable creative community in the Netherlands. I am committed to driving positive change and ensuring fair compensation for creators within the cultural sector. More information on the website of Platform ACCT.

Museum Hilversum

News Photography is a project undertaken for Museum Hilversum, where I provided advisory services on the museum's positioning within the Dutch photographic sector, particularly concerning the role and significance of news photography in the Netherlands.

As a result of my consultancy, I curated the Collection News Photography, designed a project proposal focused on media literacy for high school students, and developed a conceptual proposal for an ongoing News Photography Studio.

This project highlights my expertise in strategic positioning and conceptual development within the cultural sector. I am proud to have contributed to MuseumHilversum's efforts to engage with contemporary issues surrounding news photography and to enhance its role within the broader Dutch photographic landscape.
